Well this week has seen some big change for the Warm Gun team... We lost 3 members this past week who were all picked up by professional studios. This is the main reason for us to be in this mod world so I look at it as a positive thing, these 3 members were an integral part of our operations so with them moving on we now have positions open.
If your looking to join a project that will get your work noticed feel free to visit our forums and post your work. We are looking for 3D talent as well as Texture artists. You can apply here... Warmgun.ca
So now onto this weeks update... First up we have some new weapon renders, these shots feature the outlaw pistol.
Next up we have A new Character render to show...Unfortunately the modeler has bailed so its not finished...it will need some love, so if your a character molder please step up and help out.
Next is the blacksmiths Gatling Gun... This is also a WIP shot...
Next week we will have some fly by videos of the newest level...that should hopefully get people up to speed on what the Warm Gun world will look like. We have had so many comments about how confusing the genre is so we have hired a new writer to help re-evaluate the Warm Gun back story so expect to get a more detailed impression of the story soon. Thanks again for the great feedback... we are pushing forward as always. Rock N Roll.

that was suppose to be a reply to KickBackRocks comment
source is a last generation engine, unreal is obviously alot better, so im afraid its not,"long live source" because its already coming to the end of the road, where as the unreal 3 engine is just starting its course.
Honestly, Source may not be up to the standard of Unreal 3 and Crysis, but I can't see Valve stop using the engine anytime in the near future. Its gonna be around for at least the next few years, getting constant updates (for instance the particle system and all that stuff in the Ep2 engine). Don't forget that it still has probably the best facial animation, it was the first to introduce HDR, but regardless of all that, technology doesn't dictate how fun a game will be. Besides, I think some parts of it are still easier to mod than Unreal 3 :)
Hi to everyone, i have just started a mod running on U3 engine and i am looking for a dev team.
The best place to start, is with yourself. Play with the development tools and see what you can get working, then use that to haul in any potential help.
Joined, although still learning the ropes of the UE4 (had a dabble in UE3). It's definitely a big jump from Source.
Hopefully you won't find it too awkward. Ultimately, there's a lot more to UnrealEd compared to Hammer, but you'll find that with the impossibility of leaking, you can do a lot more :)
Hello, I'm new to modding. I've been trying to make a mod since I was 15, I'm 22 now and I never had anyone to help me, or to at least discuss modding with. But thanks to moddb I finally found my chance to do what I like. Also lots of thanks to "Ambershee". His tutorials got me started just few days ago. Hope I can give something back to the group. UT3 Rocks!
