The Unreal Tournament 3 Developers Group is for teams that have chosen Epic's new Unreal game to base their mod on.

RvBChandler has set up a group for people who have made, or are making, maps for the Unreal Tournament 3 mod UT2D.
To get the ball rolling I've had my map UT2D-Ducts associated with the group (thanks to ModDB staff for changing that for me), hopefully more of the ever increasing number of people mapping for UT2D will follow suit.
If you're not familiar with UT2D, it is a mod by jbizzler that turns Unreal Tournament 3 into a side scrolling shooter. It's very entertaining, generally total chaos and you can check it out via it's ModDB page right here.
Also, if you know how to map with Unreal Editor then why not make a map for UT2D? It's pretty simple and begging for more maps whether they're original or based on environments from other 2D games (there are a couple of maps based on Super Mario Bros. for example).
Only registered members can share their thoughts. So come on! Join the Mod DB community today (totally free) and do things you never thought possible.
Just incase any of y'all are interested...

Hey everyone...I was just wondering does anyone know where you can find a decent tutorial on how to export a character from max into unreal 3? My team and I keep coming across the same ones and we can't seem to get them working :S
We're asking the same questions tbh! lol... It seems that the Max exporters haven't caught up with Unreal 3 yet! lol. Hopefully that'll change soon tho and put us out of our misery! :p
GAH! That is lame...we have it in unreal ed, just not in game :S
Got a uni project to do for the 23rd where we have to make a fully playable level....lol...fail me thinks hee hee.
If it appears in UnrealEd, it's imported properly. Your issue must be with the editor, not the exporter from max ;)
Yeah thats what I thought...Another team member managed to sort it now yey!
I have always wanted to make a mod, but I have never had an oppertunity to do so, I hope that this site will change that, Ut3 has the best engine out there
I have updated the downloadable scripts to version 1.1, and included the PLAYSTATION 3 MOD TOOLS!
Roxxor.
By popular request, I cracked total conversions recently. I've still got a bit of work to do however, but let it be known that tutorial #5 will cover all of the necessary ground work, and include a working example to use as a framework =)
What Tutorial 4? :P
