We're starting to take the place of the Third Reich... no killing of Jews or anything but government wise were essentially ruled by corporations, amoral organizations which are not people.
well if you want to get into killing of Jews stuff, its starting to look like the gov't + media hates Christians.. just saying my observations...dont rage plz
Okay since others are commenting id like to give my two cents, yes things seem to be horrible but its not like yall are thinking. For one, throughout history people have though the same thing you are thinking now (except for the fascist part). There have been many other darker times in American history. It just seems worse because you are looking in more of the present than past.
AS to the fascist part, I find several things missing and others that shouldnt be on there. Fascism is basically anti-religion and also the people of Germany had actually elected their dictator to a position prior to their taking over.
Also it is highly unlikely the US will ever head in this directions for atleast a half century. The circumstances are completely different from that of Nazi Germany or Italy. We would have to have been defeated by outside forces and striped of everything we Americans believe is ours. An unbelievable depression would have to occur, for example in Germany people used the German Marks for wallpaper because it was cheaper.
I just dont believe we are headed this way and if youd like to debate it im all for it, but I do think this does make you think of American's current state.
Disdain for human rights?
Torture of inmates, indefinite detention of whistle-blowers without charge, the destruction of entire villages. ✓
Enemies?
Terrorism, Muslims, Russia. ✓
Military Supremacy?
More money spent on "defense" than the next 26 industrialized nations combined, and several wars/occupations in the past century, only two in self defense. ✓
Rampant Sexism?
No, not really. Only major current issue is abortion, culture isn't as sexist as once was.
Controlled Mass Media?
All or most mainstream news is controlled by a small number of large corporations. ✓
Obsession with national security?
Again, massive military budget, constant reference of terrorism in media, thousands of drones to be used over own nation in the near future. ✓
Corporate power is protected?
Corporations, emotionless amoral organizations with the primary goal of profit are now considered human beings, now have massive amounts of influence over elections. ✓
Suppression of labor?
Unions demonized over the actions of few, workers rights slowly worn away over past decades, workers no longer have any power in most jobs. ✓
Disdain for intellectuals & the arts?
Defunding of NASA, schools, and science in general. Anti-intellectual culture. ✓
Obsession with crime & punishment?
Largest number of inmates per capita in the world, war on drugs, raiding of medical marijuana dispensaries. ✓
Corruption?
Massive amounts of corporate control via lobbyists. ✓
don't say any thing just think about it
So do you not want me to comment?
You can comment but no raging over the post
I got to say that unfortunately this is true.

Don't worry, we'll find some other minority to oppress.

Fascism is very far from anti-religion as you referenced Nazi Germany which was actually very religious...

You up for a long overdue revolution?
