Undertone is a music and sound based team. A "guild" of musicians in the mod scene. If your mod is in need of sound engineers or composers to create full and original soundtracks for your modification, we here will supply you with dedicated team members that will help achieve your needs.

Each week Undertone members present new or improved music from their modification. Now, instead of having to go through each mods release of music, you can now recieve all of it weekly through a zip file. You can also download each track individually.

To Members: Post up a sample your are working on, or have worked on in the download section at least once a week for media release purposes and/or critism/compliments. Thanks!

The Undertone Team now has three new musical pieces in the download section, all from individual artists. These samples are from modifications they are working on.

Each week Undertone members will present new or improved music from their modification. Now, instead of having to go through each mods release of music, you can now recieve all of it weekly through a zip file. We are making each track available to download individually in this first release because there are only 3 tracks.

Three Tracks:

  • Neurological- Remorse
This is a piece done for Remorse by a member of Undertone, Neurological.
  • Lord_Vipes- ER Menu
This is a piece done for ER by a member of Undertone, Lord_Vipes.
  • Phoenix85- Law of the Shadow
This is a piece done for Law of the Shadow by a member of Undertone, Phoenix85.

Very curious to the members, how do you create your music? Do you sit down and just compose? Or do you compose over movie/game trailers, etc? What is your usual way or routine of creating some tunes?

Well, the program I use is Fruity Loops Studio 7..started with FL5 long ago lol. But yea I just sit down and compose. I usually start with a random pad and make a melody off of that, or, the pad then rhythms. For remixes I start with the melodies and then work off of that.

I use Pro Tools for recording audio and MIDI with various plugins and Sibelius for Notation. Most of my melodies come from playing the guitar which I then improve on in whatever tool I'm using.

Your welcome to post tracks like frantic up on the Undertone download page. Reason being, is because it shows up on the Undertone download section, and also in your own personal download section too. Check the songs u uploaded on undertone, they should also be in your profile.

I have just worked out why my piece has not been authorised. I have uploaded it onto my own ModDB page!!!

Still getting my head round this site a little.

Feel free to check out the track added onto my page called Frantic. I will present something specifically for Undertone very soon!

it takes a while to authorize files...they need to be authorized to make sure everything is orignal and not someone else's work or whatever it may be.

Thanks for that. It is a bit annoying that this site doesn't have an obvious guide to its use!

Maybe it's just me.

haha yea, after the switch it took me a while to get used to. But now that I get how (just about) everything works it's much easier..so it just takes a little while to get used to.
