All of the thanks to goes to Carnius for a great mod, I am thankful that you are kind enough to make this for me and the rest of the CNC community, without caring about any kind of pay or reimbersment. I and, I believe the rest of the CNC community really just want to say, THANKS CARNIUS! and thank you for coming to TEF.

It seems that CABAL has attracted more fans, in past some people wanted to see it as playable faction, some other people wanted to see some units as crate bonus or via special structures.

CABAL faction is particular. No humans, just cyborgs, drones and robots. If becomes playable then all Nod Cyborg units become CABAL's property. This may help the Brotherhood to become a more "religious" faction, so what do you think about it?

My opinion is: why not? I don't see anything bad to see it in action as playable faction.

To me, this is a mixed thing. CABAL was assumed destroyed during the Firestorm Conflict, and he was then turned into LEGION, if I remember correctly. So CABAL is technically LEGION, so it would end up being LGION's army rather than CABAL's army, unless you can explain lore wise that LEGION turned back into CABAL and went rogue again.

Other than that, MOAH CYBROGS FTW.

I think the main problem with adding another faction, is the C&C3 engine limitations... I could be wrong, however.

I know of three mods off the top of my head which have factions added: The Forgotten, Crossfire, and Xenoforce. So I don't think it'll be that big of a problem.

Well okay then, I stand corrected.

CABAL is unquestionably cool, but i dont feel he has enough to become a unique faction in TE. It would also mean removing a lot of uniqueness from the Brotherhood of NOD. Also i dont feel the Brotherhood should be a super-religious faction beyond the deification of Kane. Religious overtones should be in the background but it's closer to devotion to Kane's will. The religious aspect of the brotherhood was hugely over emphasized by EA and was a bad direction for the Brotherhood. Thats part of the reason why TE exists, so NOD can be done "properly" along with all the other things EA did badly.

It wouldn't be hard come up with enough unique units and structures for a CABAL faction, only quite a bit of time for a single person to create them :) Otherwise, I must be honest, all that you said is exactly how I feel too. Even though it would be very interesting to play as a CABAL team, in terms of the story, it would kinda feel out of place if he returned as a full faction again. During Firestorm, CABAL had his chance to reign, but he lost; this time in C&C3, it was Scrin's chance to try to take over.

With that said, if Carnius were up for it, I certainly would like to see him create a ruin or two that once belonged to CABAL, such as his Core or something, just for a visual memory of that event for multiplayer maps :)

Carnius could also create a CABAL building or two (that has been abandoned, but left standing with some unit(s)/upgrade(s)/ability still available to anyone) that will serve as useful tech structures for the other teams to capture... Hmm, do I dare say maybe move the Destroyer Cyborg reinforcements from the the Tacitus Archive to a remaining CABAL (tech) structure, (this is probably the only reasonable way I can see playing with some re-activated CABAL units) then come up with another unit for Nod that'll be available at the Tacitus Archive, such as a Montauk-type of unit or Fist of Nod/battle base hybrid? :D

Religious factor was always present in the brotherhood, since the first C&C. The Black Hand was a TS feature and there is nothing abnormal about it. In the last FS mission the brotherhood lost all the cyborgs and the Elite Cadre was the new unit, it isn't an EA fault.

If I remember it correctly, CABAL wasn't destroyed, it seemed it was merged with Kane so there is nothing strange to see a possible rebirth.

If Carnius wants to create a neutral structure with some lost CABAL technology it will be fine, at the moment it seems he has used some of it.

Nod was never a religious faction, not in the way EA portaits them (Aka, some sort of GLA with laser guns and an obvious leader), but rather an advanced and secret 'terrorist' organisation, with two goals: World domination (Tiberian Dawn) and turning all carbon based life into tiberium based life (Tiberian Sun).

Secondly, CABAL is severly weakened, with possibly just one bunker (The one Kane was seen being healed in) remaining. So far we only 'fixed' a lot of the unit designs. But the storyline remains just as messed up as it was before TE.

And before anyone says anything, I know the thread is quite old by now.

There is a problem, he isn't quite destroyed, there was still that one core with Kane in it, but he is severly damaged due to a high loss of capacity with other core destroyed. CABAL works apparently similar to S.T.A.L.K.E.R.-SPOILER the C-consciousness or DEUS EX: HUMAN REVOLUTION SPOILER the hyron project
HOW HE WORKS: in terms of being a super computer with an advanced AI completed by biological thought power. the more human brains interact with cabal and are merged into one system the stronger he gets so most probably having destroyed a lot of people along with that one core, he lost alot of his capacity. Therefore he would have to go for a hunt for new subjects that would be compatible with him before getting back to his old strength
