All of the thanks to goes to Carnius for a great mod, I am thankful that you are kind enough to make this for me and the rest of the CNC community, without caring about any kind of pay or reimbersment. I and, I believe the rest of the CNC community really just want to say, THANKS CARNIUS! and thank you for coming to TEF.

Storm Column as Scrin's advanced base defense it quite unfitting to my mind. It has weaker armor than Obelisk or Sonic Emitter (as far as I've experienced) and its weapon against ground targets isn't doing that much damage. And Scrin's AA defense is already good enough to keep enemy aircraft away, so I don't think the advanced base defense needs AA capabilities.

I came up with this concept of Scrin's new advanced base defense: The Annihilator Column. Basically it has the same weapon as Tripod has, except at first it's built with only 1 "arm" and a single column can be upgraded with 2 additional "arms" for 500-1000 credits, or a single upgrade from Scrin Tech Center for 2000-4000 credits.

Yes and no, Like the round look, i do not like the antennas on top.
there needs to be somethings else.

The antennas are Tripod cannons, the weapons of the defense, I did this in Worldbuilder so they do look quite dumb, but in game they'd be moving around like Tripod cannons.

OK, i was already thinking, do they move yes/no? because if they move then it would look fine i think.
If they were static i thought they were there to create the storm. then it would be a bit weird look.

Not exactly for a good replacement to the Storm Column, but it's great as an addition other than being called as a Storm Column replacement.

I agree.Scrin dont need Storm Column,T3 defense dont need AA. For getting more ion storms to heal and buff up air units, you can easily build faster and cheaper Gravity stabilizers, use a Support power, provide upgrade for Mantas and PACs. I like the idea, but the model, well,I would rather see something more like new Annihalator Quadpod weapon on new defense. Just be sure that the new defense dont use overly used plasma discs. I support the idea, but we'll need Carnius for model.

Well, I understand where you're coming from, but atleast one of the factions really needs a T3 defense that's not AT (I mean, the Sonic is A-everythingground), And there isn't enough infantry to need AP... so AA is about the only option for any form of uniqueness.

i agree with you SC about AA being the only option for uniqueness compared to the other factions, and generally speaking i'm not a fan of EA models at all but i have to say that the current model does seem to fit very well, it's spindly fragile look fits very well giving the impression that it developed on a lower gravity world, and the movement of the "ridges" of the structure give it an organic feel. Don't get me wrong most EA models suck, but perhaps this is one occasion when they got something right. (hey it had to happen sometime)

The main thing with the storm column, was a support defence. It creates an ION storm, which improves air units. The only possible thing I could think of, would be to make the storm column have less health, as it is a fairly powerful structure.
