how about giving the mutants a cheap LARGE squad size (10-12) group of melee only soldiers that are really mutated do moderate damage and have minimal health... i think that they need a melee soldier

For cinematic reasons/SP missions this could be nice, but for gameplay reasons not so much, everyone got armor, weapons, lasers, tanks etc. so they would make small to none damage.

But a mutant hijacker would be awesome, or somekinda flamethrower squad with tiberium flames or snipers.

Feral mutants is good idea but as The finnishguy said only for SP missions or as hostile creatures in mp maps, i can imagine that they mutated too much to be reason with (i remember something like that was said in TS:FS fmv´s).

i read this and i got a freaking storming. its not about tiberium essence itself, but a mode of it. the oldest of the C&C fans should remember the two spin offs in the TD and RA1 (dinos and giant ants). some people have been missing that and remembering carnius saying that we might end up with different version s of TE, i made one in my mind. Tiberium Zombies. i can even think of a story for it. i dont know, think of it and when u are over with TE, consider it. just think of the possibilities.

Zombies are really scary :O What are their special abilities? Contaminate enemy infantry and make them mutants/succubus?

I agree, also they need the "deploy" ability in order to fire. now they are too fast, they can fire and run without any time delay.

The "minibomb" of the shadow team (and their explosive) is too much weak.

They're zombies so they turn 50% of the human infantry into more zombies. That's at least how I see it.

If carnius decides to make zombies, I'd like them to be in their own version so it can have its own music and stuff. And if it happens I'll surely make missions about that! But I don't want to get excited over it as carnius might never put zombies in TE, so I don't want any work or hopes to be crushed.

PS: I have never played any Starcraft game, I don't like it to be honest.

He certainly means the infestation.But dont get zerg to be mixed with mutants. mmm I think we should put zombies aside, zombies are capitol for itself. Mutant zombies.that is little bit too much. Dont even try to think about werewolfs and Vampires.xd I am fond of Mutant hordes from the Forgotten mode but with melee attack.But to look at them how they battles with Buzzers.,Visceroids,Dezintagrators.eww.

What I am thinking is a game similar to "Funpark" of TD and "It came from Red Alert\" of RA1, continuing the legacy of C&C from its three first years.
