This group is for you which want to show in your profile you are a single person developing a game, making if not all the game aspects(music, coding, arts), at least most of it, the famous 'lone wolfs' of the indie game world. This group also is supposed to show you respect greatly others which do the same, other 'lone wolfs'. Our games sure take longer to come out and demands much more effort, but you bet they are cool when they do!

After a bit of thought, I've decided to suspend development on Valchion.

It's been quite awhile since my last update here, and devlog video on my YouTube channel. After some time thinking about it, I've decided to stop development on Valchion for the time being; I just wasn't making progress and wasn't doing the idea I have for Valchion justice.

It's unfortunate, and I'm sorry to pause development after literally years working on this thing, but I don't think I should finish it just because I started it, but rather because it's going to be a good game. If the game's bad, it's better to stop development on it, even restart if it has potential, rather than forcing the game out and having a failure on your hands. I hope to work on it in the future and develop it into something really cool.

Anyway, thanks so much for following me on this journey of game development. I certainly hope to work harder on more projects that are fun and interesting to play.

How about working on the story in the meantime? I'm not sure if you have a story, I played the beta a long time ago, I think I remember it getting into the action pretty immediate then I cant remember much.. I think if this had a deep Final Fantasy 4'esq story line with drama and friends dying, it would make for a memorable game... Play some old school Final Fantasy in the meantime! :D can't wait for your return to this project, I'll always be here tracking it.

I did end up working on the story and coming up with something that I think is pretty solid overall. It's a shame, but I think the game will ultimately be better for it eventually.

I hope you decide to return to this at some point because it looks cool!

Or could you release a demo or a build in its current state?

Last demo was released almost 2 years ago - would love to see how far you've come!

That might be a good idea to allow people to at least play it and get the sense of it. I do plan to return to this eventually, but I believe it will be different when I do.

Good call! How many finished games have we played and they were really bad? Its just not worth it. But it really sucks to have worked so hard and have to set it all aside.
I hope you will be inspired and excited to continue development in a later time.
Thanks for all the publicity and interaction with us gamers!
Thank you for supporting Linux as well.

That's true, and that's my feeling on it. It just wasn't turning out the way I wanted it to, and I have an idea for what I'd like to do with it that I'm pretty sure will be really fun once I finish it. Thanks for watching!

Sorry about that, man! Follow my game development progress (On Twitter or YouTube for now), though - I have something I'm working on that should be a lot of fun nonetheless!
