the T-90AM/MS was officially unveilled at Nizhny armament exhibition 'Expo Arms-2011'.
It has new "Relic" ERA armor on the Turret with enhanced protection of front, sides and roof, new fire control system "Kalina", new satellite navigation system GLONASS-GPS, new 1130 horsepower engine, new 125mm main gun, automatic screen system (protection system).
the T-90AM/MS is not supposed to be another T-72 modernization, in fact these are principally two different platforms that have principally different combat abilities.
