T-90 = better armour
M-84AS/AB1/2001 = better maneuverability

PS: SRB-HawkEye- fix the link to M-84AS, it exist on the wiki

This tank cant kill a Abrams, Challenger 2 or leopard 2 from an ambush, its armor is not as good as any of those tanks and its gun is only a 125mm gun, so it ablity to damage any of those tanks is littile to nothing, the M1A2 (and M1A1) have been both tested from the back, front and side aginst a 125 mm cannon and tanken little to no damge. The challenger armor is consider the best armor in the world(that the Abrams uses) and the leopard is not a tank that sits and waits forever in deffensive mode, it is always on the move in any weather condtions. Proving M-84 useless(excpeted in numbers, :P)

Sorry i'm late, but anyway...

any Russian built tank with the 125mm gun and newest ammunition can indeed destroy a regular Leopard 2, Challenger 2 or M1A2 from the sides or rear, as they have only 200-300mm RHA protection against KE at these points.

Modern Russian rounds such as the 3BK21B and 3BM44M can penetrate 600-650-750 mm RHA equivalency already. check this out

En.wikipedia.org

But there are some promising modernizations and upgrades for additional side protection and more survivability, such as the Leopard 2a7+, Leopard REVOLUTION and the Turkish NEXT GENERATION add-on package, which provides about ~600mm LOS at the turret sides.

A regular T-80, T-90 or T-90A/S (on T-72 basis) has most vulnerability at the rear-sides, only like 100mm steel armor plates which can be penetrated by even 25mm & 30mm auto cannons in AFVs.

Any tank can kill an Abrams so long as it can fire DU SABOT rounds :/ In that situation it really becomes a matter of who gets the 1st shot off so in an ambush this tank could theoretically kill an Abrams ... This is why US and NATO forces rely heavily upon their air superiority to give them a definite edge over the competition. A key example of this was the 1991 Gulf War were coalition air power primarily US air power in the form of F-117 stealth fighters annihilated the Iraqi armored units. The poor bastards were for the most part bombed back to the stone age before they could even engage coalition ground forces and even when they did they were heavily disorganized as their communication assets were also bombed out of existence.

The same can happen to US and NATO forces should they go up against a major industrial power with modern and well equipped air forces. Hell I doubt very much that the Abrams and Challenger 2 or even any tank for that matter can survive a near miss from a 2,000 lb bombs which has enough force to flip the dam tank over putting it out of commission with ease >> A direct hit with an aerial AT missile or bomb would also easily 1 hit kill a tank such as the Abrams.

Concentrated artillery and rocket artillery fire can also do some major damage to tanks which again is why air power always targets the major threats such as that artillery, enemy tanks, and more importantly communications and logistical assets 1st.

Hell yeah! I like the way how proudly you say "annihilated the Iraqi armored units", "poor bastards", "bombed back to the stone age". I never stop asking wtf you forgot on the other edge of the World? A yeah, yeah you are bringing democracy to ignorant aborigens, sorry I always forget this.

Well the American people for the most part are good people just like Russians for the most part are good people. Its our governments that suck *** and **** everything up.

As for the Iraqis I actually pity them because its wasn't a fair fight. as for the ignorance its actually a bigger problem for my own people atm.

Yeah, Saddam used solid steel slugs for his tanks and even a big load of his tanks didn't have ERA. Everybody knows today it's the ammunition that matters, alot more then the guns. With uranium APFSDS a Jagdpanther would also be a threat.

And the 125mm gun can fire them APFSDS at equal muzzle velocity to the Rheinmetal 120mm

Yeah, i think APFSDS rounds have made it so any tank can destroy any tank. One if the reasons i'm less interested in modern tanks.

"i think APFSDS rounds have made it so any tank can destroy any tank"

Right, unless it is protected by new introduced Electric armor or APS with hardkill system, though :) because these are able to neutralize any penetrator before it can penetrate the main armor. I'm very curious of what will be invented next to counter these protection systems! Stay tuned guys

guys i think that tanks in general are an easy target if not supported with air cover infantry communications and proper logistics combined arms battles are more effective than masses of tanks every unit has its advantge which if used together leads to a quick victory with few casaulties
