inb4 crew scuttling!
It wasn't "scuttled", it is a poor victim of an IED.
Not so sure about that. There's little evidence of a large blast. And you'd need quite a large IED to destroy an abrams considering most of them are just high explosive.
There's alot of evidence of fire though.
IDE blows off track and damages the main shaft
Crew abandons the tank
Recovery is not worthy to they set up a thermite charge on the tank to destroy critical components and cook off the ammo
Tank is left charred
Most if not all images of ****** up Abrams where they are left this way is because the crew choose to destroy the thank rather than leave it sitting there.
I bet that crew is going to live a long life!
im agree nothing indicates perforation, just fire and track destruction

All I know is that when faced with this situation its best to destroy the tank yourself too otherwise the enemy would use it against you... Which is bad.
about that, do you think that people without training in this specific tank could aim, shoot, and reload the turret?
It is more related to preventing critical tech falling in enemy hands.

damn it must be scary getting your track blown off and having to leave the tank in the open not knowing what gun is waiting to shot you.
