So, I was thinking we make an article concerning the events of the war. I know you all can do it better then myself, but I'm trying.

Why do we care whether it has 1,2 or 3 Crystals or what color they are? More doesn't mean better. Even if it did, there is obvious physical limits to consider. You can't wield a lightsaber if its the size of a Huttling.

Imposing a maximum on something so incredibly insignificant seems ludicrous. Not to mention things reaching a whole new level of micromanagement.

And mind you this is coming from me, perhaps the greatest control freak this RP have ever seen xD

It's optional and based on the lack of consistency in the lore. Like I said I prefer a colour and an additional effect such as additional Ion damage.

Is this that big a deal?

How is imposing a maximum by definition... optional?

Because before it is just one crystal, now it's two. The maximum is to avoid people with 999 crystals.

If people had 999 crystals in their lightsaber is would stop being a lightsaber, its physical proportions would be unmanageable. And even if you say they are much smaller to account of that, people still do not gain ANYTHING would doing so.

I think we can rely on people to use common sense. There's really no point to imposing a maximum on something so tiny. It's so small it can be handled on a case-by-case basis.

So me and Mace were talking about the contradictory nature of lightsabers and lightsaber crystals. We found two images, Luke building a lightsaber with one crystal and Anakin building a lightsaber with more than one.

I found an article, made by a fan so not wookieepedia, which mentions the components required to build a lightsaber which included a focus crystal and a beam crystal.

Many crystals are colour crystals but certainly not all, especially the ones without an image on wookieepedia, could provide a colour. We agreed that it is possible that Luke and Anakin simply had different types of lightsabers.

For the RP, I personally always wanted a colour and an effect crystal. For RP purposes we'll impose a maximum of two crystals per lightsaber, if you choose to make use of this new discovery.

So wait, you get a color crystal and two effect crystals? I was under the impression that a lightsaber could have one crystal per blade. For example, a double-saber could have two effect crystals, whereas a single-bladed saber would have one.

1x Focus Crystal.
1x Beam Crystal.

Not three.

First thing you're going to want to do is decide what faction you want to be a part of, and what class of character you'll want. There's information regarding the latter here:

Moddb.com

Basically, your character has skill points, and these skill points are allocated into the slots for each skill tree. Tier I skills cost one point, tier II skills cost two points, etc. It's less complicated than it sounds. New characters start out with 10 skill points, and points are gained through participation in events.

Once you've got a character decided, you'll want to take it to the GMs. Those would be Ori`verda (the strange one who thinks he's a god) and Mace-Windu. Set up a PM with them, as you'll need to get approval from them for just about everything. You'll also want to set up a PM with the members of whatever faction you're apart of.

As far as statistics go, there's no system for that in place. You can decide the rough attributes for your character, and you'll be expected to hold to the established personality of your character. Once you've got a character in mind, post an image or something on your profile with information about the character.

And finally, I'd strongly recommend looking over the rules here:

Moddb.com

I realize I've just dumped a boat-load of information on you, but it's a lot less than it seems, and you'll find that most of us are quite helpful and accommodating towards new players. Good day!

ok, so i just looked at the skill tree again and i was wondering. if i start with 10 point, theoretically, I could become a rank IV instantly, as rank 1 cost 1 point, 2 cost 2, 3 costs 3, and 4 cost 4. add that up and it makes 10. im i wrong? was there something i missed?

Nope, you got it right. If you want to do that, you can. You'll be able to specialize in something, but you'll have a lot of shortcomings.
