Yeah, I was pretty much confused myself. I thought we were just jumping ahead a decade and restarting the RP from there with the whole new system in play.

Though, I think I understand why they took this route, instead of going the easy way. The Jedi needed to make a comeback, and ten years is not enough time to really rebuild the Order. The Federation also needs to exist so that the Jedi have something to defend and to provide the counter against the Empire. I'm almost certain that the Federation and Jedi would have been wiped during the decade if we did fast forward, they would be too few in number with the Imperials and possible Mandalorians always striking at them as they attempted to rebuild, which called for a rewind instead.

Honestly, I think that's just a small part why they didn't fast forward ten years.

What they could do is basically merge the PA and the EU (which Praxis suggested at one point) into a new Federation, which came under attack from the Empire and the Mandalorians; after repeated skirmishes and a decline in competent leadership, the new Federation and the Jedi Order that formed with it under Fai, Jay, and Yoru, lost a lot of ground, or something along those lines?

That's true, but that still doesn't explain how the Jedi would make such a big comeback in such a short amount of time.

The new Federation would also be huge, I think it would control half the galaxy or close to half and would easily have the advantage over the Mandalorians and Empire, with the amount of fleets and defenses it would boast. Even if Praxis got rid of a bunch of PA defenses and scrapped some of their fleets, the Feds would still hold the advantage, sector and production wise. Also, Praxis would be leading, so I doubt he would suddenly go senile or something along those lines leading to a decline in numbers.

From my perspective, this is leveling the playing field, in order to make everything start off balanced instead of a faction holding the advantage right at the start.

Maybe there was a decline of one of the factions or something before-hand?

The thing I don't like about rewriting history is that a lot of the events our characters went through now amount to absolutely nothing.

My idea: Super-Vong kill off everyone and suddenly leave, the galaxy rebuilds and ten years later we have Jedi, Sith and Mandalorians.

Fenris got the right idea and have explained many of our motives. But we are also re-writing because there are too many disagreements on the past few months.

Personally; If we were to do it like AK, I can say now I will have no interest in returning to the RP. The PA coming into existence the way it did, the Core worlds being loyal to the Sith/Welcomed them back just because the Ten wasn't around the respond and the EU controlling the Satellite galaxies, justifying their strength. But this is just me, take it as you will.

Agreed with HH.

AK: Most of the events can be integrated into the new lore, you just have to change them round to fit in with it.

Such as the duel of Zonama Sekot, you could just say that you challenged Pain to a duel. The others came along, and Kevn and Dvasi came out to help. Easy.

Or your Nym character. Just say the Hutts gave you the bounties/missiosn, or independent governments.

But events that involve factions that no longer exist are wiped off, such as battles ect.

i think i'll side with ak though..

Now are we returning in time to the point prior to the federation falling apart or are we going to the future?

Because i assume that noone will write adenn or jester in? that would mean, if we go back in time, that their characters are completely forgotten or non-existant.
While i do think adenn had a big impact on ori and me. (for better or for worse ;P)

Right, seems like the lore didn't do a good job of explaining things >.<.

The RP as you knew it stopped at the formation of the Fels. Everything after that is either deleted or edited.

The Fels fell (hey! A pun! xD). The Federation has just formed, the Mandos have just regained their independence, and the Empire has withdrawn to the Core.

We now fast forward ten years. So its:

Old RP-->Imperial Civil War (Fels vs Empire)-->Fels fall-->Mandalorian Uprising-->Formation of the Federation + reemergence of the Hutts-->Ten years of Galactic Cold War-->Present day, start of the RP.

I don't see how Jester or Adenn are in any way non-existant. Jester doesn't create the PA, but he still exists. I don't know what Adenn did or what happened, but I'm sure it can be integrated into the lore.

Oh he made my life miserable which led to me writing the Reforms, Codex in the first place and creating the Mantle and forming a massive Armada along with many secret fortress bases all across the galaxy and a company that funded all of it.

I don't even know what year it is in this RP. We need to post a page that is devoted to the entire star wars timeline up until this point to set the record straight

Too much work, too little gain xD.

The year is 313 ABY, as noted in the Lore. Since no one complained about it, I presume we all agree to it.

M'kay, I have some questions about the timeline, and I'm sure others do as well, so hopefully I'm not just posting this for my benefit.

First off, I was left with the impression before you developed the Lore article that you all were taking the existing lore we've already created, forwarded ten years, and started from there, filling in the gap of those ten years to explain what happened to people. However, the impression I got from the Lore article is that you are rewriting events from a while back. I'm confused about exactly what you are doing. Wouldn't the former idea that I outlined be much easier to carry out? Unless I haven't read between the lines enough on the Lore article...

Explanation, please?
