Auricom, founded by Praxis and ran by its President and CEO Normon Zasch, has been quickly growing and expanding since the establishment of the New Galactic Empire. Its popularity growing due to it high quality products such as state-of-the-art weaponry, star ships, droids, and research into almost every scientific field imaginable. Its public facilities acting as private patent offices where aspiring inventors and innovators may submit their ideas which, if found to be unique and useful, are promoted by Auricom and its creator is hired to advance his or her idea or invention to new heights.

Some companies find themselves having trouble competing with Auricom and have often been taken over by Auricom or simply gone out of business. Among these are Holowan Mechanical the subsidiary of Holowan Laboratories, the company responsible for the invention of the infamous IG series assassin droids. Due to decreased sales of the outdated IG-86 sentinel droids and the murders of several of key scientists and engineers at the hands of crime syndicates and vengeful friends and family members of people who were killed by an IG series droid, the company has been slowly going out of business. Not wanting to waste the future potential of one of the best droid series known in the galaxy, Auricom has bought out Holowan along with their remaining assets for a generous price. The employees have also been offered jobs within Auricom so they may continue their work in safety along with a possible pay raise. Auricom has also purchased the IG droids sensor module or "head" from Incom, the company responsible for it's design and production.

In other news, (OOC: lol, always wanted to say that) after months of negotiating, Auricom has partnered with the Colicoid Creation Nest, the CCN will from now on work as one of it's subsidiaries. Thus the Droideka and all the rest of the CCN's droids have been added to Auricom's product line.
