Is this another Mace=Snoke theory, i'm afraid to watch t_t ?
This choice made no sense honestly, if Anakin hadn't had time to reflect I doubt Anakin would have fallen to the darkside. I consider Mace's character in the films to be self-righteous and at some points even stupid. (I doubt this is a popular opinion and it's basically a result of bad prequel writing made worse by killing the EU which expanded on Mace's character)
