I think Scar became Charon the monolith commander found in Pripyat in SoC because:
1. Most obvious reason, his loadout is the exact same as Scar potrayed in wallpapers and promotions.
2. Scar along with Strelok we're affected by the emission at the end of Clear Sky, Strelok miraculously escapes but I think Scar was affected and turned into a monolith soldier.
3. Why would Scar become the new commander? Because his fighting and tactics got him all the way through the zone by himself.
4. How come Strelok esacped the final emmision, my theory is because Strelok had a reason to be himself in the zone. The C-Con let him go because they knew there was a reason for him to be himself in his own ways. Scar on the other hand was just a hired fighter taking orders.

Maybe you are right but i have my doubts
1.You are right.
2.Yes they were affected by emission but Strelok didn't escaped he was brainwashed and programed by C-Consciousness as their agent to carry the task that they ordered him but they done mistake and his mission was kill himself.
3.Maybe but i doubt it because the emissions were burning Scars nervous system i think he didn't survived the emission because in game when emission hit you die if you didn't run to cover and the emission in CNPP is more powerful than emission in other part of the Zone.
4.The C-Consciousness let Strelok go along with the other programmed Stalkers in the Death Truck because he was their agent not because he has reason to be in the Zone.
Say for the last part your thinking Scar might have been dead in that death truck?
No i don't think so i think Scar is dead or he was zombified :( but its only my personal option. I was hoping that his fate would be explained in Call of Pripyat or he will return as NPC or something but his fate was never explained. If you are interested in him try Return of Scar mod. And there is one thing i don't understand why is the C-Consciousness representative from Shadow of Chernobyl have same voice than Lebedev from Clear sky maybe its nothing special that they only have same voice actor or maybe is some clue or something i dunno what do you think??? Sorry for my bad english i am from Slovakia.
No thats alright:) Wow I just realsied the voice actor thing to, what I'm getting from it now is that the Clear Sky faction is pretty much the supporters of the C-Con. Unfortunately the Return of Scar mod is a users opinion just like ours.
When i play Stalker Clear Sky with Complete Mod, i turn Scar into a Monolith Soldier (Cheat), and when i chat with Monolith Soldier at the Military Warehouses, he gave me a job (Destroy the Barrier), i think this is right.
Could you do this cheat without complete mod?
Hello Mercs. my little theory is that scar may be the reason to why Strider wants to return to pripyat so badly again? they might had been in the same squad once, because I do beleive that Scar might be a monolith. What do you guys think? :)

Here are my thoughts:
1.He was affected by the emission along with his Clear Sky buddies and got turned into Monolith soldier.
2.He got killed by the emission.
3.He escaped(this is more like a wish :P)

I think he is just dead!
Here are the reasons:
1-two damn emissions nearly destroyed his mind.
2-if you don't run to cover when an emission in the game you will die and the emission in the CNPP was REALLY big.
3-if he was turned into Charon he is dead because strelok killed him.
4-if he was turned into a zombie he is probably dead since monolith soldiers killed zombies in all games.
5-if he survived he wasn't able to get out of the CNPP since it was crawling with monolith soldiers.
6-if he got away remaining clear sky soldiers in the limansk would kill him since the think he dawn away from the battle and let others die.
6-if he got away from the clear sky soldiers he couldn't stand a week since he was so idiot!
remaining clear sky soldiers will help him and will know how he survived because of the incident happened earlier in the game.

He's most likely dead.
While he COULD be Charon, the silenced sniper rifle is very common among enemies, thats like saying any DOOTER could be Scar.
He's most likely dead, but you can never find a corpse.
We will probably never know his fate, RIP GSC.
