Mod DB is a large site, which needs more than just a few people adding articles on their lunch break to keep it ticking over. This article is a quick overview of the important people, what they do, and whose fault it is when something goes wrong.
These people are the full-time staff who make sure Mod DB is kept running at a business and technical level. Generally speaking you won't need to bother them with issues, and they occasionally drop by to say hi and see how things are going.
Scott is the Managing Director of DesuraNET, and is also responsible for all of Mod DB's code. If there's a bug somewhere, it's probably his fault. Scott also manages the business and advertising side of things, something which is becoming a bigger part of Mod DB.
Check Scott's blog for insights on where Mod DB has come from, and is going to.
We are currently in the process of hiring our new Editor in Chief, who will be responsible for all of Mod DB's content, making sure things are up to quality, and writing in-house features and reviews.
Behind Mod DB lies some fairly complex internet wizardry - Greg is our Systems Administrator who keeps Mod DB on the air. If everything suddenly stops working, it's probably Greg who gets woken up about it.
If you're interested about what powers Mod DB, Greg's blog is the place to find out.
All of Mod DB and DesuraNET's artwork comes from Shaun, our in-house Graphics Monkey.
The site managers are responsible for keeping the whole site running on a day-to-day basis, and are volunteers who do it for the kudos, karma and staff t-shirts. Most operational problems ultimately end up in their inboxes.
One of Mod DB's pair of Site Managers, Nick tends to deal with the community - making sure people know how things work and are kept up to date with the latest changes.
Nick's blog covers what's currently going on around the site, and often contains hints and tips on how to make the best use of Mod DB's features. It's also the best place to find news about what's coming to Mod DB in the future.
The other half of the Site Manager duo, Graham makes sure that things are being authed on time and the rest of the staff are doing their job.
Only registered members can share their thoughts. So come on! Join the Mod DB community today (totally free) and do things you never thought possible.
Ok, what gives? Sorry for being rude but I put up a file of a song I remixed for UnderTone, and it got taken down, with my rank going way up, stuff going negative, and I don't get a PM or email as to why.
Just a side note, the song did follow all the guidelines.
Thanks to whoever added Ninja Monkey to the news Flash banner. I love teh free publicity.
Hi admins, our mod (Licor de Cactus) is waiting for approval since the last monday and we want to know if there is any problem with it. Thank you and sorry(perhaps we should be more patient).

How do I get out of the Sirius system in crossfire 1.7? How do I access the new missions in sp mode?
Hi admins and mods!
Please take a look at Crystalline: Moddb.com
We have been floating around in eight days now waiting for an approval.
I've recently researched and written an article regarding copyright infringement as it applies to modding (and, briefly, the legal repercussions of hosting copyright-infringing materials). I completed it with the input of several lawyers and a professional game designer.
I realize that the "soapbox" feature's establishment is probably not coincidental with the "IP in mods" debate and that the article may seem a good candidate for inclusion in the "soapbox" feature. However, as the article contains a much higher ratio of legal citation than opinion (it contains a singular conclusion that is the reflection of a multitude of statutes and legal precedents), putting it in an oped feature would tend to undermine the amount of research and professional input it includes. As a result I would only be willing to let it run as a feature.
I'm sure the staff and users of moddb.com are just as concerned as I am about the survivability of modding. Hopefully, understanding the legal repercussions of making and distributing copyright infringing materials will result in change for the better and help to ensure the survivability of modding for years to come.

Thanks for your time and consideration and I hope to see the article featured soon.
Sincerely,
Michael Kelley
How ironic, you wrote a piece on infringement, and in your title you ripped off the title of my Dad's friend's book.

;)
Please, Moddb, please, do not feature this article, I might vomit all over my keyboard if I see it on the frontpage :(
Ennui, what's your spiel? If you have a squabble with mikejkelley, here's hardly the place to advertise it.
