Welcome to ModDB TV, a monthly video feature which brings you all of the new (and updated mods) released to play over the past month in an easy to digest video format. Sit back, grab some popcorn, and tune in to spotlight - the easiest way to find cool new mods and games to play... Watch for updates and join this group or tune in to our Youtube channel.
Also each month in the video we shall be handing out the ModDB "staff selection" award to the mod/game we find most enjoyable! To enter all you need to do is make sure you release your game or a decent update (so guys don't be skimping on the content!), and make sure it gets onto the Mod DB front page (for more info on how to make sure your news gets there click this link), its that simple!
After your mod gets the royal front page treatment I'll be downloading it and recording myself smashing it up in your prized creation, the footage will then be placed into a video at the end of the month for everybody to see! Think of it as free advertising, but you still need to put the hard work into making your mod the best it can be!
This Halloween ModDB digs into the horror archives, and takes a look at the top 10 spookiest mods of all time as voted by our community.

Horror has always been an area modders have explored in great detail over the years. In fact one of the first "big name" showcased mods, featured in PC Gamer and plenty of other places (back in the day when PC mags ruled the world) was They Hunger - a horror classic. Since They Hunger many horror themed mods have been released, some dark, some zombie based, some eerieely quiet and some edge of your seat "packed full of action".
So if you are prone to wetting your pants at the slightest scare these are probably not the titles for you. If however you crave something spooky this Halloween - sit back, dim the lights and enjoy ModDBs first ever mod countdown - as we take a look at the top 10 spookiest mods of all time as voted by our community.
Don't forget to watch this group for any more ModDB Mod Countdown's to come!
AOM DC must be first
WOOT! killing floor gone retail ^^ will wipe the floor with L4D ^^..and im sure we can keep ZPS in the shed and feed it broken glass when we get bored ;P
Afraid of Monsters: Directors Cut really scared the **** out of me. I think it's because of the music, the freakish creatures and a flashlight that eats up batteries quick. I like how the game will spawn creatures behind you while you are fighting something in front of you. It gets really intense, trust me on this!
"-is top dog, or, undead dog, if you will." nonono, its called BRAINDAWG! god bless zombie panic, hope it gets moty 2009
afraid of monsters dc make **** in my pants
man i need to get UT3
zps... no
ZPS all the way :D ZPS the best mod :D
WHAT THE **** IS GOING ON, HOW ZPS CAN BE BETTER THAN ZM??!!!!!!
nightmare house 2=number one
If Nightmare House 2 was out before this video was made it would have been 2nd and aom:DC would be first probably, or the other way around. :D
ravenholm doesnt work i tried installing it even tried puting it on steampapps wtf do i do
lol... i need to get half-life2 xD....
Soon im buying half life and half life 2 on my computer and im difinitly getting afraid of monsters and ravenholm
Yo, what the heck where's the Nightmare House Series?!?!
why isnt nightmare house on here
Top one is cry of fear :3
Exactly, PARANOIA is the best and top 8.
(What now, who will survive the massive paranoia?)
I like when they have released PARANOIA 2.
(With more massive paranoia, more action, uses
some HAVOK Physics, new weapons like M16A2 | M203,
Berreta, Attachments and MOAR!)
CRY OF FEAR
you know how old scary games are scarier than new ones? well it has evolved to...
Mods.
WT****
I played both AoM: DC and ZP:S, and I pick AoM, it was far scarier. I'd never know if there would be a monster behind me unless it growls or attacks, and about half the game is too dark to see without your flashlight.
eeeeuuuuumm.... Cry of Fear....?

I reckon that Hidden Source should be at the top or even afraid of monsters
