Welp, the fascists finally did it. Hundreds of thousands of people have effectively lost their jobs.
Yay.
Now yell at each other and try to justify it.
To be honest, the problem here is a variation of the tragedy of the commons, with the public as the common and the politicians as the exploiters of the common. In theory, every politician benefit some from a smooth working government, but when the government is not working, like right now, certain politicians get more benefit by saying "look at how my opposition sucks and can't get anything done" and then get more votes in the next election. Of course, if this keeps up there won't be a country/common to be exploited in the future...
Given the under-educated population, biased news, and corrupt politicians, there is no cure (except of the one that does more harm than good, like revolution funded by extremists of something like that)...
Then again, there's always the option of borrowing more money from the Chinese...
The US will default on its loans by the 17th, supposedly.
I was thinking we should send congress to Syria
that would solve this ****.
No, that won't change a thing, since the sheeple would simply elect another batch of corrupt politicians/idiots/delusional idealists into office and nothing will change...
This really is too bad...
