Stupid **** like this couldn't happen in Britan's parliament.

Supposedly years ago in Australia a bunch of politicians were pulling similar stupid **** so they were all kicked out of office by a queen or something and there was a special election immediately after. 'Murika needs a queen.

So what sort of democracy is it when a monarch can kick out the president/prime minister that was elected by the people?

Unlike 'Murika, some places don't tolerate fascism.

The fact that not a single riot has come out of this government shut down tells me that we have a fascist state simply because the people are too ******* stupid, lazy, and bought off to ever rebel against an oppressor. Everyone complains about this stuff as long as they're sitting down in their homes and not throwing petrol bombs at government buildings and policemen.

Or voting...

Believe it or not, a majority of voting age Americans are a lot more moderate than our parties and media give them credit for- this accounts for (very roughly) 40-60% of all US voters- Our problem is that these voters aren't stupid, fat, or lazy- they just feel like their vote doesn't matter. They're so damn cynical of "the system" that they feel as if their one, educated vote doesn't mean sh*t- and the irony behind this is that these people- this smart demographic of people- (a truly silent majority) isn't having it's voice heard.

Moral of the story: Vote- Vote federal, vote state, vote city, and vote when we don't even have any polls- JUST DON'T STOP VOTING, because if anything is killing our democracy, it isn't the uneducated, it's the cynical and the apathetic.

And Dann, this isn't our first government shut down, and riots are NEVER a good way to protest (in our culture)

There's a damn good reason people think that voting won't change anything in favor of the populace. BTW riots are an effective way to make politicians **** their pants. Like if you included corrupt politicians in the death penalty, you'd see a lot of corruption going down. Politicians are pretty easy to scare.

Riots get people KILLED- GOOD PEOPLE.

RIOTS never solve a thing, as a matter of fact, it turns reform into revolution, and if you want a fine example of what revolution does to a developed, largely free society, go ahead and check out Afghanistan or Iran.

Remember that politicians are human- we HAVE good politicians, the problem is that ALL THE SCUMBAGS are getting votes because our moderates don't visit the polls.

It's even worse people aren't voting locally, then they complain about their education system (which happens to be run by scumbag politican steve mcdickhead BECAUSE THEY DIDN'T BOTHER TO VOTE AGAINST HIM)

+The death penalty would be stupid to impose on politicians because other politicians could use the law to have their competitors rubbed out...
