The article explains the concept behind the notorious OpenSSL bug dubbed Heartbleed.

I heard many times that in fact power output of the Sun is very low compared to it's size. But people usually consider Sun as something monstrous with...
Triangulum brought to my attention this amazing article which I had to reply to... Enjoy :)
The opposite of black holes.
I thought he meant "with holes." Never mind then.
That's more like something you would see on the twitter feed of a Mexican cartel member.

I find chemistry boring but astronomy is very interesting and I have always been interested in it since an early age. It was astronomy which made me want to become a scientist but after encountering chemistry in secondary school I gave up on that dream. God how I hate chemistry.
I'm still interested in the universe though and occasionally do bits of research about it and regularly learn new information about it. It's truly a beautiful place and a work of art if I do say so myself.
It's amazing to think about how vast and enormous the universe is. I don't think we can even be compared to ants when we make the universe as the scale. Billions of galaxies and billions of stars are out there and God knows what inhabit the planets in orbit among these stars. I personally think other life is out there although I don't think we'll ever encounter them.
Just think, while you're reading this there could be countless civilizations out there rising and falling.
havent looked much into that, I read about it some but am not much into astrology and physics.
far more insterested in paleo-biology, evolutionary biology and evolutionary pyschology ( all part of my major)
but if you specify exactly what you want to discuss I would happily talk.
mostly cuz im bored & its almost finals week so i have very little to do.
astrology is different to astronomy ;)
I want to be a medical doctor. I am very good at human biology. Maybe even a doctor for NASA that would be cool :D
Astrology is about the star-signs and the positions of the planets. Astrology is used for daily horoscopes and it's not true. I used to enjoy reading the daily horoscopes in the newspaper just to see what The Wizard Drgudrid would say about me this week. Once he said I would meet a very special person and enter a relationship with them...yeah...I'm still waiting for that to happen Wizard Drgudrid...
Also, fireball or GTFO Drgudrid. Everyone knows that it's a fireball spell that makes a wizard and not an empty claim! ;P
Yeah but seriously, I have never believed in astrology and no evidence supports it. The claims that have been made about my birth sign have never come true. I know Deer_Hunter meant astronomy though but I just wanted to give my two cents on astrology which isn't scientific and it certainly doesn't contain any ties to science.
Ah crap, ur right astronomy not astrology- wasn't paying attention when i wrote that, studing for finals and all.
