RO is great But i have never liked playing tank> tank maps :<
yay nice video
It depends on what type of gamer you are, the first one is great! However it has one hell of a learning curve. Though the first felt more personal than most other Combat sims, it really drives you into the roll your playing, I mean, I get a bunch of my friends on steam(all ways looking for new RO steam friends by the way steam name is chriscanfield44@yahoo.com) and I play an officer and I throw smoke and give them orders, while the riflemen and assult troops move up the MG's give cover fire adding that simbolic realism that other sims just dont come anywhere near.
And yet in my years of playing, I've never seen or heard of this style of play until now.
your not playing with the hard core, unfortunatly most of those players left the original and move to Darkest hour, which is a mod for RO, its got a lot of things that make the mutiplayer alot better, like the ability to climb small walls, better balance with the MG's, new factions like the U.S., Britian, and Canadian troops. oh, and my steam name is as spelled just without the @yahoo.com ;) anyways, I enjoy both and find both of them fun, the next one is still pretty far off in the distance so your just gonna have to settle for it, or go and play that gay Modern Warfare 2 that has all the 10 year olds tie up, but I prefer a game that has a realist pace over running around in circles like Im hyped up on meth spraying with 90% accurecy, boo to that I say!
haha yes there is more teamplay on the DH mod than RO, also the DH mod got those weird 29th people (nothing bad meant btw 29th :P)
to behonest, i almost joined them
The completely unrealistic shooting, the size of the maps do not correspond to the amount of players / muddiness.
Overall, it felt very unclean and still mod-like.
Completely unrealistic shooting! What, Red Orchestra is the most realistic ww2 fps out there.
If you mean by shooting, as in firefights yes that would actually be true. They boosted the level of players from 32 to 50 so some maps should not be played with 50 (Danzig). But on DH on the other hand, they dont play other than 50 player maps. Mostly and combined arms maps which are really fun (that’s tanks and infantry btw)
Watch the the videos of RO2, the Developers even said they messed up the shooting mechanics in the first one and made it actually UNREALISTIC.
