>>No more War!"

-Linus Pauling

War is useless, brutal and inhumane. A war doesn't only cost money, it also costs lives.
Soldiers giving their valuable & useful lives for a government consisting of people who never were in a war. They never fought and killed other people. For them the death-count is a number, a mere statistic. War destroys families, friendships, hopes and much more. War isn't profitable. You lose too much and you hardly win anything back.

Pacifists, really?

You realize for their to be peace it would require every nation to stop fighting. Due to the social customs, religions, and ideologies it's impossible to do so unless you can find one ideology to unify them all under. An ideology based on peace, not war.

That would require global domination to accomplish. And based on your standards, a conquest conducted under peaceful terms. Not an easy thing to do...

And in a way, whether you like it or not, you will always need soldiers. Soldiers who preserve the standard, soldiers who keep the peace protecting the people from threats.

All duty is sacrifice for a soldier. It's the mistress that always demands... But never gives back...
The results of a soldiers actions, is their reward.

Adding fuel to the fire certainly won't help toward that goal. I think that all religions should stop fighting each other for trivial matters. But of course, hoping isn't enough....

lol a world without war??? haha and then full of peace??? did u ever though about what u guys are saying? do u know what will happen if earth get forbidden from war somehow?
i will tell u first there will be more than hundred of dictators rising there will be injustice everywhere, were strong rule over the weaks, and weaks have no choice but to obey them so the peace will remind.
tell me do you prefer a world without war full of peace but full of dictators and injustice?
or do u prefer a world full of war but a war for good where weak can hope to be free one day from injustice and their dictators?

either way there will be blood.

personally i prefer a world full of war instead of a world full of religion bullshits who rule over weaks

dont think because u can live peacefully, everyone else would think the same! there is more than 50% of humans who have a corrupted mind! who can kill more humans with politics than a war can do!

realize the balance of real world!

Glad I finally see someone with similar views. Although there is one topic on which I disagree with you. Religion can be a problem but not necessarily is, look at Italy for instance. I wouldn't idealize them for their economical decisions but a religious standpoint, it's not a nation that would declare war for religious influences. There is some good in religion I believe but I presume it all falls down to which of them you practice and to what degree. Good in small quantities as one could say. However, you are correct, a theocracy cannot and will not work, ever.

Though, I can see a peaceful mean to maybe pacify middle eastern nations. The first step in my opinion is enforcing the law or establish the law if needed. The second step would be to allow children and woman the same benefits they would have have in western nations including education, as knowledge is the source of power. It's all about power distribution really. Not necessarily equally but in a meritocratic basis. The last step would be to separate politics from religion, but not dramatically as some would be lead to believe. Priest of any kind shouldn't have a word to say in politics, never-mind declaring war on others for meres beliefs. People are free to believe what they wish, as long they know to restrain their actions.

Addendum: peace is not everything, I agree, but it is still something to aim for. Once the whole world population will have access to education, their political allegiances should reflect that and hopefully mistake of the past, shall not be repeated once more. I am an atheist(or agnostic at times, I guess it depends on how you would interpret my religious views),but I don't think other people should be forbidden to practice a religion, as long it does not create hostile behavior amongst them. And about corrupted minds, it maybe true at adulthood, but I don't think half of the population is born corrupted.

im 95% agree with all u said dude,
the only parts i think different is:
1) sadly religion cant be controlled! because its a blind view, as long as something say im THE ONE there will be conflicts, and all religions believe they are the real one with real god,
but in other word i believe in God and i believe all humans should believe in him for their own good
2) humans never proved they will learn from mistakes of the pas we had WW1 then we got WW2 and now we are not so far from WW3
3) nothing is born corrupted but everyone born blind and raw in mind, and 1 corrupted can corrupt thousand raw blind minds!

I agree on 66.66...% of what you just said =).
I think human can and have improved their behaviors. Most of us know how to act in a civilized manner. I know it's not the case everywhere but that's due to the lack of education. Once this barrier is overcamed, War should become a thing of the past. When that's done, we could move on and then eliminate crime too.
