Programmers are usually a bunch of techies hiding from the public. Generally, they are the gears that turn under the pretty fabric of the game. Codes and programs are like spoken word for them. However, programmers rarely interact with players, not to speak of answering questions, especially DEVELOPMENT ones. Let’s drag one out and break this deadlock.

First of all, you can visit our Coding Dev Journal Page to know more about what they are doing.

So, this is really something you wouldn’t normally hear – Johnny, our Lead Programmer for City of Steam, will be in touch with players who have deeper-than-expected questions about City of Steam; Questions that may elude us less technical folk. For players who attended GDC San Francisco earlier this month, you’ve probably already talked to him at our booth; he is one of the eight from Mechanist Games who jumped on a few planes to attend GDC.

If you are keen for more development-related questions such as “How to track a bug?”, you’ve got the right person to ask. So ask your questions about the development of City of Steam, our Code Master will bring in the knowledge. Obviously we can’t give away our trade secrets or too much about the inner workings but we’ll do our best.

Please head to our official Q&A thread to ask DEVELOPMENT questions about City of Steam. We will try our best.
