Sound Design with Steve Whetman

Truly dedicated to the "make something different" ethos of modding, members of the Original Game Creators refuse to use other people's intellectual property in their creations. These modders do their own dirty work. They don't rely on a team of highly paid professionals to do their design work for them. They don't rely on a world-wide ready-made fanbase in order to recruit team members or fans. They earn their watchers and team members one at a time, relying soley on the strength of their original creations.
No Half-life subplot derivatives, no Star Wars/Trek/Gate mods, no Dragonball Z mods, no nothing but mods involving original ideas.
The very very few, the proud, the OGC.

If anyone else is interested in taking up the fight for banning copyright infringement in competition, please refer to my blogs and let your opinion be known on the MOTY pages. As OGCer's we rly need to be standing up for our rights in order to be successful. Thnx.

I'd like to join. Don't have any modding experience yet, but I know already that I would like to keep things original. :)
Thnx, modding needs more creators committed to originality! When you acquire the requisite skillz, feel free to send a join request our way (click on the 'join this group' link in the group profile).
Here's an unsolicited article I wrote re: copyright infringement and modding with the help/input of lawyers as well as a professional games designer. Drawing upon legal precedent and recent court cases, it concludes that copyright infringement threatens the future of modding. An interesting read.

Congrats to World of Padman for placing 4th in the MOTY 2007 Indie Games category! WOP is one of the very few original games to have achieved a MOTY win!
Here's to wishing all of OGC the best in the New Year! :)
