Description
This patch brings the new game duration feature as well as allied play for multi-player, skirmish and campaign slug fest and raze fest modes. Old terrain from Warlords Battlecry 1 and 2 were added, as well as some new voices for units. The campaign was also modified. Each chapter now has a re-playable mission and changing difficulty affects crown rewards and prices. Many bugs have also been fixed, including the 'quest is about to expire' bug. Scouts, builders and infantry stats have been changed in an attempt to balance game-play. Details in the change-log.

There are a ton of dll files missing when I try to run it. This did not happen with earlier versions and I cannot locate one of the dll's. Does anyone else have the same problem?
Are you sure you installed it corectly? First install 0.8 FULL, then apply 0.8.1 and lastly 0.8.2. If there are any missing dlls still, they should easily be found on the internet.
Hey, you were right! I didn't install it correctly, I had deleted the previous versions before installing this.... Don't know why I did that....
Hi! How soon can we expect the next release? Also, will there be any new classes, skills, spells, unique items or races in the newer versions?
I'm afraid that the next patch will only come somewhere in june. The mod works on a voluntary basis, everyone works as much as he/she wants whenever he/she wants so it's kind of hard to predict release dates. I can say for sure though that the next release will have new items :)
This seems to be a great mod, but unfortunately does not work for me. I'm using Win 8.1 64 bits and everytime I start a game the sprites for the units doesn't show up.
I hope you continue improve it, some day I will come back to try it again! Cheers!
To answer myself, I read the official forums of the mods that it is a known bug that can be fix with a compatability of the .exe with windows xp. Now works fine!

Some things I think should be fixed..
plaguelords: there is no way of creating hydras.
Darl elf: can´t sacrifice units to make a deamon.
Hero upgrade: (example) there is no death rune anynmore.
Are you trying to create a new race with ogres, doomknights, assassins, eyes of flames and so on? A dark empire race?

Thanks for the suggestions, we will look into them. Some units have been left out to make races easier to balance. After we found the perfect recipe, we might add the left out units with already balanced stats (according to said recipe).
You can always upload your maps and share them via the protectors forum or, if you prefer, you can send me an e-mail attachment and I will include some of them in the next release as official TPC scenarios. Private Message me if you're interested.

I've looked into the plaguelords and dark elf problems: Hydras can be build but not at level 3; can sacrifice dark elfs but only infantry now (hero upgrade problem remain).
a new "real" problem: sometimes, at the end of the game, when you upgrade your hero (namely - spells) you loose all your items and progress made in that particular game (so if you were level 30, you remain there) and you are directed to the map you're playing but everything is black and your hero is dead. (my hero is a dark elf - deathnight; if it helps).
Well, you are using diferent buildings (from WBC 1,2,3 and new ones) so it would be nice to see a dark powerfull new race.
Hope that new chapters will come soon!
Yep. I was able to reproduce that "real" problem and it has been reported by multiple people. We are still strugling to fix it, but I'm afraid the next version (coming soon) will still inherit it. Worry not, we have unleashed the heavy artillery to kill this bug so it won't survive for long.
As for new content, I can confirm that the next version will reveal more of the story behind TPC, but it will not be another chapter.
hi i am really excited about your mod i just discovered and i have downloaded and installed the full version with both patches but the game won't run :'(
i have a windows 7 32 bit , i tried service pack 2 and 3 , admin selected, lower definition too ( needed for WBCII) ... but nothing works , please help !

What do you mean by "the game won't run"? Does it leave an error message upon accessing TheProtectors.exe? Does it crash in game?

with no error message , just a little start with the black screen when i click on the icon and then no more screen no more action
Hmm. Try deleting all content from the Video folder (but not the folder itself). Maybe make a back-up.
delete the video folder doesn't change anything, i cleaned it all and installed it again with patches , i tried with and whithout patches , nothing works :'(
the games seems to launch with a black screen for loading and then back to desktop without any error message.

After more tests the problem is clear. Your computer needs to be able to run in a 800x600 resolution for the menus to load. I will see if something can be done about this in future releases.
frostbat (minotaurs) HP25, combat 4 , u dont miss adjust it? in new patch small units combat and hp increase, i see him in skirmish, catapult damage against building will be litlle more effective, towers damage seems is too high, i like tougher towers against regular units cuz is for defense but increase both is too much

Iam stuck at the wood elf chapter, the game allways thinks that i have 0 Crowns. I can't buy a drink in the undead chapter, so i just moved along.
But now i have to get the captain, but he allways says that i have not enough crowns, no matter what. (I have 1004)
is there a wb3 community to play multiplayer with? im itching for a challenge ;)
there is a polish community but they are kind of elitists. other than that you can try on facebook and forums.
fey are missing units (leprecauns, faerie dragon) so are empire (halberdiers). am i missing a file or something?
