About a year and a half ago there was a C&C Style RTS community project on Unity forums, for Unity editor, started by Martin Schutz.

So what do you think? Should anybody expand the project and make an RTS placed in the C&C universe and show folks from EALA how indie devs do it? Or should the C&C community just ramble about the new C&C but do nothing itself/themselves? ;-)
looks very promising, like the idea. yet when i try it out i am put in an open world with 2 tanks under my command from which one shoots at the other one without inflicting any damage. its not really playable yet at least for me.
It's just a stub, not a fully playable game. ;-)
As a graphics engine, Unity could be decent for an RTS client, but the networking code for realtime multiplayer is going to be a problem.
An indie RTS? If this work modders wouldn't need to worry about any limit like current SAGE engine.
Yeah, that's the purpose. But the above mentioned "community" project is in the pre-alpha state. C&C devs could possibly bring C&C RTS genre into the UDK or Unity (yet it'd be very time-consuming).
Who'd like to see an indie C&C?
