For all the old skool modders that have stuck by Mod DB from v1 to v4. A lot has changed as over the years as the site moved from a dark v1 to a bright and rounded v2, to the classic v3 and now the all mighty v4! To join this group you must have joined the Mod DB in 2002 or be a KNOWN long time hardcore user!

Description
Mod DB v2 picked up where v1 left off, only the site design was white for the first time ever, and much cleaner (less gamey - inspired by ModBlog's design). The reason why was back in 2004 I was getting into the business world and I wanted a site which felt more "professional and official". Totally wrong for a game site which I soon learnt, but this site continued Mod DB's growth as it was super clean and easy to use.
v2 is in my opinion still the best version from the color scheme and layout. Lean and mean. :D
V2 was definitely my favourite. V4 is still looking real good though.

man i missed V2 so much when it went to V3. I still miss it. Nostalgia's a bitch!
wow. moddb had actually custom logos during the time of v1.5 ;_; i once was even f5-ing the homepage for like an hour or so to see different ones. hell yeah, nostalgia's a bitch...
Man I remember seeing that page alot (not on this account obviously).
I like v2 better than v3 tbh, but v4 is one of my favorite site designs ever. The integration is amazing.

i visited the site a lot when i was like this, it was a bit before my joining, but i remember her.
v2's powerpuff girls theme was the best.
agreed. mod sites 99% of the time lacked Girl Power! Unless it was The Sims of course.
