The Metal appreciation society is quite simply put a group where all us metalheads can share our love of different bands. This group is for recommendations, reviews and comments on all things metal! Also if you are in a band and want to introduce your band by adding a track on here then go ahead. PLEASE NO MUSIC THAT IS UNDER COPYRIGHT - I'm just a guy who loves metal and wants to share it with others I don't want to get sued!

Some days ago this album randomly happened to be in my hands. Listening to it I noticed, that it is one of the most bright and emotional metal albums...

My metal career began with Rammstein. It´s not only metal, it´s more Industrial but the best band ever, I think.
I also listen to...
Children of Bodom
Nightwish (interesting for me because I play violin)
Metallica (but only a few songs)
Iron maiden (fear of the dark!!!)
Best german punk band: Die Toten Hosen
Subway to Sally
In Extremo
Die Apokalyptischen Reiter
The Cursed
And of course: God listens to SLAYER

Hello everybody!

I'm a huge "from-rock-to-metal" fan.

I specially like the rock & hard rock from the late 60's until 90's, and the classic Heavy Metal.

There are too many bands I like to put them here.

Keep rockin'!

*Band. Equilibrium
*Album. Sagas
*Genre. Pagan Metal / Viking Metal / Epic Metal
*Release date. 2008

Great album, even better than Turis Fratyr, the first album of Equilibrium. They sing in German, but that shouldn't keep you off from listening to their music ;)

Well, I've been quiet for some time.. Good to see there's a little life here, though.

For the extreme metal lovers among us (me! ME!), check out Darkspace ( )(homepage = but under reconstruction currently)

It's extremely harsh and dark ambient black metal with lyrical subjects often based around the vast emptiness of space, sometimes with citations from movies such as '2001: A Space Odyssey' and 'Prince of Darkness'.

I know of only one band similar to it, Paysage d'Hiver, but that one's even lesser known x)
