ak is 7.62, there is no way the bb pellets that come out of an m4 would do any thing near the damage that beast would do, i pick the ak

M4 vs AK47!!! i vote M4
Each has their strength and weaknesses in different situation.
In my preferred preferences I would use anyone of them as long as its the right circumstance and it can get the job done.
No offense, but that is such a noob question. The rival of the M4A1 and M4 Carbine these days isn't the old 47 Kalashikinov model. Its the 10x AK series, like the AK-101, 103 and 107. I think that they are much beter than the M4 models. But, back to your question, in my opinion, the M4 is better than the AK-47, but I can't say the same even when comparing it to the AK-74.
i prefer the ak-47 i dont know but i love this gun since the first time i saw her! also my secong favorite weapon is the RPK-74 (is the same model with a very long barrel)
