On the borders with Italy and Turkey, great fortifications are being constructed. In Serbia on the border of Hungary a few castles while envoys are sent to ensure peace with our Slavic brethren.
To Greece, more envoys with gifts and pacts of supporting each other are made as with Hungary. The mighty seafaring Greeks will support the Serbian land armies while the horselords of Hungary become the shock forces!
Albania however enjoys the fortifications in its population zones where its people are sent to work camps, slaughtered or exiled.
Messengers are sent to Rome with the request that one or more of the Knightly Orders be placed under command of the Serbians as they lack command and would make for a great addition to the Serbian Kingdom. However, Serbia would first need to acknowledge the Pope's legitimacy and become a papal state.
OOC: Ten that is your cue.
*The Pope receives the messanger personally. The messanger kneels, and explains the situation. The Pope nods, and replies.*
"If the Serbians wish to become a Papal State and serve God in his Crusade agaisntnt the Heretics and Evil in this World, then I shall not refuse them of it. I will need to meet with your Grand King, Aleksander, to give him my blessing and protection."
"As for an Order of Knights, the Teutonic Orders Grand Master will be put on trial soon. If found guilty, the remains of the Order will be given to you, and you may found a new Order of Holy Knights from it, with my blessing. Tell that to your King, messanger."
"But will the Serbian Kingdom be bound to obey every whim of Rome?"
"It is a Christians duty to answer the Popes call, whether it be in defense or for a Crusade. Though I assure you, I do not wish to interfere in the affairs of Nations unless they concern the Christians under my protection.."
OOC: In other words, if a Crusade is called or the Papal States are attacked, then I will ask for some help (doesn't mean you have to send 3,000 men or something, just help) and you won't have to give me help, but I will be giving out gifts (whether they be Knights, Gold, Lands or Titles) to those that please me/the Pope. You can do that by killing heretics, respecting the Popes wishes, helping the Papal States ect. But that is just an added bonus xD.
