Mission file used in the making of my YouTube video, Operation Town Hammer. Note: You need the ORIGINAL Men of War to run this. It will not work in Men of War: Assault Squad. Also, you will need the Commanders of War II 3.0/C mod installed.
Objective:
Play as the British and attempt to secure the town with the resources provided. It's a tough battle and the German forces will hold firm. CQB / house to house combat is unavoidable so be careful to protect your infantry. Also, use the P51 Mustang wisely.
Instructions:
Extract and paste compressed folder to:
Men of War / Resource / Map / [paste folder]
When you open the editor, press f3 and then at the top right select the options and then load. It should now show “operation town hammer”. Double click it and select the mission file.
Once loaded, press f1 and then select start at the bottom right. Use numpad to select the British.
Note:
This requires Men of War and will not run properly in Assault Squad. Also, you will need the Commanders of War II 3.0/C mod installed:

Damn, this doesnt work, whenever I try to start the mission it just crashes... exec or something.
Just to make sure, this is for the ORIGINAL Men of War. Won't run in Assault Squad. Make sure it's this version and patched. Otherwise, no idea I'm afraid (assuming it's extracted in the right folder)
Yeah its in orig men of war in resource/map
There are some blue men. No squads or triggers or waypoints. Crashes when you press start. Original Men of War, latest version 1.17.5. Apr 2010. Latest version from Steam.
To try isolate the problem I tried:
Found the original map in MOW, it is Town multiplayer map.
Used F2 to save a copy of the map into a new folder.
Copied your Town Hammer .mi mission file into the new map folder.
Then I started the MOW editor and loaded the mission. Only 6 soldiers appeared on the map. It looks like all your mission data was saved as part of your map files. It is not in the mi file. I don't know if something happened in your file save process or if it is a compatability problem with older versions of MOW.
It is too bad, I was looking forward to this one.
I have managed to get it working on a different PC to my main one by extracting the folder and copying it to the location specified in the description. The folder includes the map files along with .mi file so you shouldn't need to recreate the map.
Shame that you're encountering the issue. The MoH patches have kinda done strange things to older mission files and compatibility with pre patched missions isn't great!
One more thing. Make sure you have Commander of War III Mod installed and running. This might be the cause. I forgot about it!

hi mate, similiar problem as Navseacom, I am running Windows 7 and as I could not find the map folder in resources, made new folder (map). Got Commander of War III running as a mod too. Enjoying your videos great stuff. Read your threads so I must be making some mistake over and over again. cheers
