No italians yet?
No... Zeke and Ngvede are still building the italian nation from scratch.
Why not import models from Redtide?
And then make breed files and change the desc.lng and the squad.xml And of course nations.Xml?
If you are thinking about Red Tide´s Italian models;
We´ll be using their Italian infantry models and small arms, but the vehicle models wont be used since they aren´t very good (nor the 3D models and the skins (which are true for all Red Tide vehicle models except for the Marder III which is one of the best 3D models I´ve seen so far (in a MoW game that is). And of course, Red Tide only have one new Italian vehicle, the L6 Light Tank.
To make the Italians a interesting nation to play, we need a lot more vehicles and cannons and other things. So far we´ve made about a dozen new (fully working and fully skinned) models but we need roughly the same number of more vehicles/guns until they can be used as a standalone nation. Armored vehicles are enough, but they need support vehicles like trucks, anti-aircraft guns, howitzers, cannons and so on before they can be used. I do hope that the Italians will be added to DCG no later than Q4 2011 or Q1 2012.
