Lockerd: Will the mod have some sort of Combat AI like Star Trek Armada 3? (basically the units fly around fighting instead of standing still unloading on each other.)
Lord_Set: We already do, all of our frigates already engage in Combat AI. With anything above frigates though its simply not practical.
Lockerd: What are both, Alliance and Cerberus built, Normandy SR-2's abilities? Also will both factions be able to build their Normandy after they get destroyed?Oh will there be Hero units in the mod, like the Armada 3? ie, Alliance/council could have the Normandy, Hackett or Anderson for it heros?
Lord_Set: Council can build SR-1 class frigates, but only get 1 SR-2 Normandy hero class. Cerberus can build SR-2 class frigates with reduced states. We havent hammered out the Hero units but the Normandy Sr-2 is one of them.
Lockerd: What's your favorite faction and in addition what's your favorite ship (to each of the members) and why (in terms of design, tactics...)?
Lord_Set: Cerberus, its my brain child. Most of the designs are from my imagination and in terms of completion Cerberus is almost done. I have taken more time and effort for them than any other faction.
Lord_Set: It terms on ships the Cerberus Super Capital is my favorite by far
Lockerd: What's your inward urge to do a Mass Effect themed modification for Sins of a Solar Empire?
Lord_Set: I orignally didnt like mass effect, my friend got me into and I feel in love. I thought it would translate well into a space based RTS. Seeing there were no other projects to team up with i decided to spear head one. I originally helped start the SGI mod and knew Sins would work well, so i went with what i knew.
Lockerd: What are your personal hopes for future Mass Effect games? Will future (official) Mass Effect projects may play a role for your ongoing projects?
Lord_Set: well with every Mass Effect game the mod has changed little by little even sometimes the changes were massive. So all i can do is hope for the best and when the next game comes out is to update what i have done so far.
Lockerd: Will the Reapers be realistically OP? (E.g. Sovereign classes needing 4 dreadnought to take down.)
Lord_Set: I have no choice with the reapers they are obviously going to be overpowered
Lord_Set: but the game play is different from the other two races.
Lord_Set: Theirs will be slower favoring making the correct choices rather than just building ship after ship after ship

Yay Cerberus is best faction :D (ME2 wise, I didn't care for them in ME3 for obvious reasons, but they are still my favorite faction overall)
Awesome to have my question answered! i also didn't think so much about the cap ships, it's just more the fact that frigates are a little too small to just sit there...
Will reaper forces have to be an odd mix of Geth/reapers or could the player/ai spam the units of one race and still win?
