Response from EA:

"We're sure that British Petroleum, AIG, Philip Morris, and Halliburton are all relieved they weren't nominated this year. We're going to continue making award-winning games and services played by more than 300 million people worldwide."

Replace "making", with "publishing", and that's about right.

Although I suppose EA does still make a few games...But are any award-winning?

It's funny how, instead of trying to fix their company, they troll their fans. Also, "Making award winning games and services."
More like, "continue taking credit for other companies' award winning games, then ruining them, and continue pretending that Origin is a great service and completely ignore that it will never surpass Steam."

I would argue Ubisoft did all these things, but with crappier DRM. But, noooo, one crap ending later, EA is basically Satan's little helper. @_@

Well I think we just have to acknowledge how this third party poll shows us two important points: 1) Mass Effect has a massive following of dedicated fans! 2) The gall and power of the gaming community to reach out and use their powers of social media and freedom of expression to slap down those who ruined their games!

Now, how to get back at ubisoft for calling me a bitch.... paintball store here I come.

I'm officially boycotting their games. They've already got Brothers in Arms going to an unwanted revamp, AC is a joke these days when it comes to forethought, and they have no consideration for PC games.

AC:Brotherhood will be the last game I get from them until a later time (although I may get a used copy of one of their games just out of spite).

Oh, and they also claim that 95% of PC gamers only use Pirate Bay, seem to act as if Steam didn't exist, and essentially claimed that the reason there's a F2P ghost recon game coming up is because that's the best they could think of for PC gaming. They were seriously not going to have the new console game be ported to PC -at all-. They've made DRM that disables people's PCs just for changing graphics cards. They've made activations be limited to 3 on those same games. They still haven't made ACII for PC (along with several other titles) not require online connection, and even have shown they don't know how to handle server migrations.

EA are dicks, but they at least seem to quietly realize it. Ubisoft thinks they're "special" and "their DRM does not hinder users".

I beg to differ... At least for myself, I've disliked EA for longer than Ubisoft. I voted for EA for two main reasons: I've disliked their business practices the longest out of anyone else, and i don't like in America so i don't really care about BofA.

That's the problem with these types of things... Not EVERYONE lives in America, whereas EA ***** over the ENTIRE world.

As for the endings well... I agree a lot of people probably voted for EA because of the ME3 endings, but i can tell you that i didn't. And even then, they still deserve it for everything else they've done, the ending was just a catalyst (ugh NVM i hate that word now... lol)

I lost the link, but I think it was chick fil a as the resturaunt that would not serve gay people.

There is also Bank of America who almost ruined america, Wells Fargo for helping start the rescission, Apple for supporting Sweatshops, Walmart for the whole also supporting Chinese sweatshops.

But that dose not batter because EA made a mediocre C&C.(Guess what? More sarcasm)

let me just say that chick-fil-a does have certain 'odd' business practices. I live in Canada so there are none around here, but i heard they are not open on sundays? lol, the only reason i can see for this is if the CEO is Christian (which i believe he is?). I think god will forgive you if you work on sundays, he does that for every other business in the world... :P

I dont mind what political group you are, I am just pointing out the bull sh*t of picking a game company that is disliked as "Worst" when you have actually horrible things being done by other companies on that list. I mean isn't it sad that a bad ending seems to be more important than the suicides at FOXCOM's plant?

And No, I have no Sarcasm in this post. I really am sad for you all.

Chick-fil-a was founded by a Christian. So it's only natural they're closed on Sundays, as a way of setting a good example to the public and employees.

As someone who spends a lot of time bitching on twitter about stuff like this, Chick-fil-a serve anyone. They have unusual hiring practices, but it's centered around personal integrity and stuff like that.

The only reason anyone is complaining is because they donate, being Christian, to Christian organizations like Focus on the Family. (Who made great cartoons back in the 90's.) Because Focus on the Family makes some people angry on account of anti-LGBT stances. So some people boycott Chick-fil-a, just like people who boycott Starbucks for having pro-LGBT stances. It's all very tit for tat and rather childish.

So yes, I wish to make clear that Chick-fil-a serve anyone. 'Kay?

Admiral-165 Apr 7 2012, 1:12pm replied:

These types of things always follow the popular culture at the time. Unfortunate about the EA thing, they are quite mild compared to BofA. Two things however:

1. The world IS NOT America. This poll is open to everyone in the world, 330 million =/= 7 billion. I'm sorry to any Americans who are offended by this. That being said, i'm Canadian and i still think BofA is worse, it doesn't affect me in any way but i watch the news and know of the crap that goes on in America. There are very few people like me, you will find.

2. Even if BofA were to win, it would not change anything. I sincerely doubt they would care about this type of thing, the type of people who look at these types of websites aren't the type of people who would get up in arms over BofA (there may be some though). Whereas if EA won, i honestly believe the type of people who looks at these types of websites are more inclined to become angrier at EA now.

Again this is just the culture, you don't have to agree with it (I don't) but that's just the way it is :S
