Hey, Reapers is ideal weapon against The Flood!
Ya know Flood can even infest and consume/control spaceships, as they did in the Flood-Forerunner war
If Reapers can activate Halo array, they can wipe out all organic races including The Flood. Reapers will remain unharmed.
and then Metroids come and suck all energy from entire Reaper fleet
they would just end up wiping themselves out, since reapers are both sentient and techno-organic

also the flood would only starve to death and not get completely wiped out by the Halo Array
