True, but I'd venture to say that this was before Sauron corrupted the Palantir. It could possibly be one of the lost Palantir as well.
Lol, this isn't a palantiri. I swear I've seen it on one of the applications for a Mac computer before.
Still nice though, It does somehow represent a Palantiri in a way.
