Hello to you all,

I announce with great pleasure that the project Return Crash Bandicoot is back in action from today!

Having had an external project since last October, I could not take much time to devote to my other projects, including Crash.

However, I still have not quite finished the current project, it will be finished within 1 ½ months. But to see a community also motivated me to want to get back into the project I finally picked up there a little over 2 weeks. So I pretty advanced gameplay, interaction with the boxes and of course I created lots of new bugs to fix! XD

However, most of these bugs a thing of the past, but some remain, as the HUD that sometimes seems to vibrate, or even funds that do not want to destroy the first try, but you can learn more by watching the following video. I want to say that the mode Tornado is not at all developed, the animation has not been created yet, so I use a simple rotation yet. In addition, the camera is attached to the player, I had to detach the camera during rotation, to avoid turning the player XD. So do not get scared by seeing the video!

I hope you enjoy the video and I want to clarify that the existing biped is always the same, ie, Crash always has a strange posture, since the skeleton is not present at all suited to his body. But the good news is that I finished the new skeleton. The bad news is that I do not know anyone who knows how to animate characters, then either I'll have to learn, or I'll have to find someone to do it. And it will also someone to implement it in the game Again, I think I have on my own ...

And
finally, I also need someone to create a new camera. Specifically, a camera "free". For beginners, a free camera is a camera separated from the player, allowing the camera to control the mouse and the keyboard player. Currently, the camera responded yet to the player, which is a huge problem to play as you see in the video.

[EDIT] During the posting of this preview, I could continue to fix some problems, including Crash mode Tornado. Now the camera does come off more and can move at the same time as you use this action. What program do you use in your workflow....i know a bit about animation in Maya...i could use PS1 anim as a reference but still i need crash model

Anyway nice progress in your mod looking very nice...for now you could work a bit more the camera (try to get it fix and follow a trail like in the old crash)...and the jump gravity...its too slow in crysis

I'm reeeaallly looking forward your mod friend...that a nice work youve done there

I use 3ds Max, but it seems to me that Maya is also compatible for exporting biped. And gravity, I know it is not suitable and that is one of the problems I had with the "trampoline's" crates.

i love it, and i know you cant fix the animations yet but it still looks... clunky e.g the first game sort of flowed this seems to be more stiff
edit: just realized the hud cast a shadow your probably aware but no harm in pointing it out

I do not know yet, is planned for a while now, but for now, the mod has not evolved enough to merit a demo.

Looks fantastic. I hope you get the animation issue fixed soon cause I'm looking forward to see some more goodness.

Just out of curiosity, how much animation work do you need to do?

Thank you! And for animation, I do not understand your question. Sorry, being French, and do not speak English fluently yet, I sometimes find it difficult to translate the meaning of certain sentences ... This explains the poor quality of my news lol

Very lovely layout but yes only 2 things to think of crash's facial to also blink like the other models as this one is like a crash teddy.

And of course more faster walking and landing.

I wish Activision to hire you for future.

Regarding the speed of movement and animations, it precisely depends animations. In other words, it will wait for the biped is animated and integrated in the game

Oh my god, this brings me back. The music, the sounds, the gameplay, everything :). There are certain game emulators that use DirectX 7/8/9. You could use DXRipper3D to rip the models and animations as reference and work your magic on 'em.

xD Weird Crash movement in the main menu! In the original Crash Bandicoot 1 Crash stayed in that position,but lookingto the right and to the left,not shaking his arms like if he was frightened xD
