The Jedi are characters in the fictional Star Wars universe and the series' main protagonists. They use a quasi-telekinetic power, known as the Force, weapons known as lightsabers, which emit a controlled energy flow in the shape of a sword, to serve and protect their Republic and the whole ... Excellent! This is just before Kenobi got Pwned by the late Darth Maul. Unfortunately Darth Maul was too arrogant and let his guard down while toying with his catch like a feline with a dying rat. In an interesting twist Kenobi took advantage of this situation much as a Sith would and performed Sai Tok on Darth Maul which is normally a killing blow reserved for the dark side.

Come though, you have to admit that in straight open combat Darth Maul defeated Kenobi quickly and effectively... he was no match.
You Jedi love to say that the Sith ways of deception and manipulation do not translate to strength, citing straight, fair and open combat as the true test of strength, but as soon as you have an example of the roles reversed you change your tune.

You are correct, deception and manipulation do not translate to strength. However, since Obi-won (as a padawan), KILLED Darth Maul, I think it is important to note that, yes, a Jedi will win in a fair and open combat. You Sith try to point out that the only reason ANY Sith has been killed is because of arrogance. Arrogance is a weakness. If you claim to be strong, then remove that vice. If you claim to be able to defeat a Jedi Padawan, then get rid of arrogance. Otherwise each time to will fall and die.

Xerstorung, it is sad to me that you do not see how illogically you are reasoning. You are destroying all the arguments you have made up to this point! You try to maintain that Sith have only been killed by arrogance, yet here you say that Sith can win in fair and open combat when the reality is clearly shown by Obi-won, that a Jedi, CAN AND WILL defeat a Sith in open combat. Open your eyes Xerstorung, you have betrayed yourself.

Much as I hate to admit it ther is truth to what Darth^Xerstorung says. We must not allow our philosophy to blind us to our own reality. None are perfect, our intentions define us only to the extent that our actions allow.

Good... Admit it jedi. Your order are blind. You said so yourself. Why stay with beings blind to reality? Blind to your wisdom? And you do have wisdom. I am still a Disicple, but even i can sense the power in you. The wisdom you have would largely be apreciated with the sith.

Thanks for admitting we have wisdom (something you Sith usually harp against). However, you're not reading my padawans post correctly. I quote: "We must not allow our philosophy to blind us to our own reality."

You said: "Your order are blind. You said so yourself." You are WRONG. We said we must not ALLOW our philosophy to blind us, we never said we were blind. I'd refrain from posting, because it is obvious your training has not been complete. Your ignorance betrays you and you should leave before something worse happens.

What my padawan says is correct, none are perfect. Yet our intentions define us only to the extent that our actions allow. And this is where we see the difference between Jedi and Sith. The Jedi's action is to protect and maintain the ideology of peace. The Sith try to destroy it. Why do you think the Jedi were favored by the Republic? Because they did everything within their power to protect it. If we want to protect peace, what is wrong with that? Many factions attempt to bring peace to their individual country, world, nation. I could go on with examples of this, but if you continue to ignore logic and common reasoning, then I have no choice but to maintain the peace of this order, by removing you.

There is no good or evil...Only less evil or more evil...more good or less good...Only sides to take. It's what you believe in, if you think it's the right thing, then it is, wrong, then it's wrong. It's all based off of beliefs.
