He think he underestimated the Apprentice after killing/wounding his master in the belief that he had defeated the strongest.Or maybe he knew he didn't have any option of escape anyway.

Either way, it is clear that he was the best even though he lost.

Could be because of using dual sabers (not to mension one being a double, yes i cant remember it's name >_>) I personally, always preferred a single saber - single blade style. But I always carry a backup. ;D

Although it's a safe bet the force was not with him this day.

I believe its simply because Malgus was better. No other story.

Malgus completly overpowered him in his charge. Its clear that Malgus was the most powerful of the 3 (or 4 if you like)

Maybe. But I doubt Malgus could have done better than the Jedi in this scenario.

Let me put this down for you:
Malgus have skills? yes he have. he killed the jedi? yes he did. but lets take a look at the jedi master over there: saved his apprentice, saved 2 other guys, opened the door to the republic to know that the sith had returned and contributed for the republic war effort, sacrificed his life for the greater good and killed 1 of his 2 foes in a unfair and glorious fight like a boss... so you tell me, who won?
