Description

Today Isotx is releasing the models, textures, audio and INI scripts from a lost MidEast Crisis Beta on C&C Zero Hour, for free public modding use.

For a while, after MidEast Crisis 1.5, a follow-up Beta was announced, initiallyplanned for C&C Zero Hour, with a variety of new units, upgrades and wacky Easter Eggs like the A-Team and Michael Jackson. This Beta got lost, as now the new sequal -> MidEast Crisis 2.0 is in progress for C&C3.

So in order to save all these art assets, audio and scripts from a miserable death in our dusty closet, we're releasing them for public use (though propper credits required please..).
The package includes all ready and rigged models, animation, audio and scripts for the Michael Jackson and A-Team Easter Eggs, the Israeli Humvee, Israeli Quad, Syrian Machine gunner, Hezbollah fighter, Hezbollah Katyusha crew and various experimental (super)weapons and structures.

Please note that this is not a playable release, it is a WIP alpha that is unplayable. We're releasing this package for our fellow modders, whom can put it to better use than us
Have fun and please let us know when/if you use elements from this package, we're always curious to see where it gets used

This download is featured because I believe it sets a great example for the modding community. Why?

The truth is most mods don't make it and when a mod dies the content dies with it. Where it makes sense I believe mod teams should offer their content to other active teams, since their is no need to re-invent the wheel.

Who knows, it may help a mod team make it to release, and then everyone wins (the gamer, the modders and original content developer who know their work is being put to use).

Except when the mods that use the content decide to claim it as their own instead of crediting the original source. That's always fun.

if your mod doesnt make it, you should put out your information and models that you made so others can do better with theirs...just leave credit were credit is due.

It's an non working alpha for modders. You can't play 1.7, only 1.5.
