This is a group for all ID Tech 4 engine modders. Whether your modding forte is Prey, Doom 3, Quake 4 or all of them, we welcome you. Also, we will accept you no matter your modding skill. Even if changing the clip-size of your weapons seems difficult, then feel free to join up and we'll try and help you with it as best we can. This is a place for ID Tech 4 modders to hang out, chat, help each other out or post their latest work, even if its a very rough alpha they only want fellow modders experimenting with. We may accept people with no mods out if they are willing to learn, or have a WIP. Happy modding, Adam

Hi!
I'm a new member here as of today, so I'd like to thank you for the membership.
Not one of you know me and I feels like I should introduce myself somewhere, somehow but I couldn't find a deticated forum-spot for members to do so.
I won't bore any of you guys by going off-topic doing that at this moment, I just felt a need to mention it.

Anyway, it hasn't been too long since the IdTech4 sourcecode was released, and I just stumbeled over it yesterday.
I read somewhere that it should be compilable with VS2010 Express, or rather; 'Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Express", but I get an error on loading the solution.
It says something about solution-folders not being supported.
Reading further around the subject on various internet-locations I found people getting the same problem in compiling under the Pro-version.
People have actually compiled it, and they say it runs fine but there's no in-depth description for us that recently started to familiarize ourselves with C++.
Even so, despite my limited C++ knowledge, I am extremely eager to tinker with the code and see what I can learn from it.

So, to my question: has anyone around here managed to compile the source?
If so, I'd be very happy to know what/how you did.

Many thanks in advance!
