One cannot simply deny the superiority of the PC platform over all others. I am personally not against consoles,but I am against dumbing down PC games for consoles.
True, a beefy gaming comp will most likely cost more than a console with similar hardware performance, but that difference is closed on the first 2 or 3 games bought. From "mere" Steam sales to HumbleBundle, there's no comparing games' cost on PC with consoles.
Also backward compatibility, mods, emulation, indie games, lots of hardware expansion potential, not being forced to pay a platform-specific subscription to play online...
Even on exclusive titles PC has a clear advantage, no one console has a fraction as many games exclusive to it as PC does. And ironically, in most cases it isn't devs/publishers refusing to put their game on console, but console-makers' policies making it economically impossible.
