I recall a couple of years ago, there was quite a harsh winter in Holland (meaning, there was snow) there were several serious accidents and nearly the entire country was in panic.
Meanwhile, in Sweden where I now live, it was a mild winter, kind of warm for the time of year.
Not as intense as in Scandinavia, but Latvia gets some snow once it finally kicks in. It just snowed today and we already have more snow then in the picture above.
Closing schools? That happens quite rarely, but usually 1-4th graders can not attend school if the temperature drops below -20C.
Haha yeah that's true. Same in Canada as well (the above one). Any excuse to close school will do, lol.
