No, money cannot buy common sense. It's common sense to know that money can't buy common sense. You have no common sense. Common sense is absent. You are out of bounds of the common sense zone.

I believe he meant that you indeed can't buy common sense, but that love can be bought.

Which is also wrong. Money can buy you sex and company (and maybe loyalty), but never love.

Well loyalty depends on how you look at it, if you are paying a 100K salary for loyalty and then somebody else comes and offers 200K salary for that loyalty instead you will end up losing the loyalty :\
