well since tag is a lot of people running after other people, its probably one of those p-c rules to come in,

As George Carlin has called, it's called the pussification of America. Tag is banned because it encourages victimization. Just about any activity with a minor risk has been banned in schools to "protect" children. Yeah, protect them from nature and reality.
