In Half Life you're a mute scientist with seemingly military-style training in a variety of weapons, able to deal death to anything not wearing a Lamba with a crowbar while remaining near invincible while listening to a lawyer talk in your head. All while continuing with no sleep, food, or bathroom breaks for weeks.
If there was a challenge to justify all of these then I can say:
Skyrim: I enter to say hi, they draw weapons and charge me and I defend myself.
Call of Duty: We are the elite Rangers, SAS, 101st, Guards Rifle Brigade, 141TF and others so its only logical we get to be so darn awesome, though one thing in COD that bugs me is that your enemies breed and produce adult offspring with weapons.
Super Mario: He kills wacky creatures that are invading his country, act of retaliation and resistance against foreign oppression.
Portal: If G-man can create portals to teleport Mr.Freeman then so can the robot don't you think? (the game is set in the HL universe).
Grand Theft Auto: Its only logical that the police would free the most feared man in the universe with all his equipment otherwise he would just go on a rampage inside the prison facility, think about the poor prisoners!
Zelda: Its just a kid with a sword, what did you expect?
Uncharted: He is trying to imitate the Tombraider, Lara Croft but is just not able to do the same things she does and has so received a racist complex and the unfortunate nack to blow up the ancient world.
Pokemon: Impossible to defend since everything in that world is illogical.
Mass Effect: I did not know that it is illegal to take a break after saving the galaxy three times in a row, who wants to die a virgin?

lol mass effect thing is so true!
Depends on how you play it since it's basiclly a player's choice on how Shepard will act.
In ME2 I just wanted to see the lesbian scene between female Shepard and her aide (forgot her name) and mostly ignored others except for Garrus.
True that xD (especially about Mass Effect)
Donno about the ME part. Never romanced ANYONE in all 3 games.
Call me a heartless person but I found the Love/romanced stuff very irritating, both in game and real life.
so true
