I'm by no means an expert on the subject but...
Is the samurai aware he's better off "just" parrying broadsword strikes (instead of directly blocking)? Is samurai on *heavy* armor or something light enough to allow reliably dodging the knight's attacks?
Because I'm guessing neither blade can just cut through the opponent's armor, but a katana has better chances to successfully be used rapier-style and pierce through enemy heavy armor than a (much heavier) broadsword.
Many questions that will likely never get answered. This is a hastily made captioned image made by some random on the internet, after all.
The katana has no hope of defeating plate armor whlie a longsword has no such problem. This is hardly a fair fight.
I love the Samurai, but lets be realistic. The Knight would own him easily.
The katana was never made to parry or block, especially not the sword the knight is using, it was made for swift one hit kills, also the knight has plate armor, katana wouldn't even scratch it...

It really doesn't, but I hoping for some snide/stupid/funny comments to redeem it... and I'm not really seeing much of that right now...
