Probably nothing, he seemed embarrassed after he was hit as if he knew he deserved it.
Plot Twist: He noticed that what he did was wrong and became an advocate of animal rights.

Look I understand making your cat get off a chair, cats can sleep on one chair for hours, but kick the cat after you made him get off? Under my rule, this man would get sent to the Gulag.

that`s why I always have a towel on my chair. If the cat sleeps on it, I just take the towel with the cat, put it carefully somewhere else, and the chair is free again. Sometimes my cat dosen't even notice, that I moved him.
