Yeah yeah, people are whining because Thor's a woman and Captain America's black, and whatever else people whine about. (Kind of pointless things to be whining about imho, but w/e).

If it helps y'all any though... They aren't the same people. They got the same job, and use the same title but it's a "passing of the torch" scenario.

It's a somewhat different case with the new Thor and new Cap. Steve Rogers, in recent comics, lost his powers, and the guy who's normally The falcon took his place. This kind of thing is fairly common in comic books, Spiderman was replaced by Doc Oc once, Captain America was replaced by The Winter Soldier once, etc. It's always temporary, and eventually Rogers will get his powers back and Wilson will get back to being the Falcon.

With female Thor on the other hand, this is a brand new character, and her name is... Thor. That's it, so far as I know she has no other name. So... when the real Thor gets back to being Thor, what happens to lady Thor? They both have the same name. Basically it's like if they got rid of Tony Stark and brought in a new character to replace him, also named Tony Stark. That's different than just putting Rhodes in the suit and calling him Iron Man, because Iron Man is a title, Stark is the character. Thor isn't a title, it's just a name.

So yeah, nothing new about the new Cap, the Thor thing though seems like a really bizarre decision.

And now I'll just note that I've never read a Marvel comic, and shut up.

A 6 year old didn't come up with it, some liberal-activist type did.
